Gravel bikes and adventure riding are two of the hottest words in cycling right now, even more so since the start of the pandemic. A gravel bike opens up so much more of the world for you to explore, whether you come from a road or mountain bike background or a complete novice. You could best describe them as the best of both worlds. They give you the fast rolling nature of a road bike on tarmac combined with the ruggedness of a mountain bike to tackle trails off the beaten path. Ask any number of us here at Tweeks Towers what our N+1 or only bike would be, and we’ll likely answer with a gravel bike.
Rondo Bikes are based out in Poland and while a few of us here were familiar with their MTB sister brand NS Bikes, Rondo were a bit of an unknown to us. But the hype behind the brand was growing strong, so we decided

Whether you’re a casual cyclist or
lucky enough to call yourself a pro, it’s likely that you’ll already know about
pedal manufacturer Look and its hugely successful KEO range. Although its
S-Track and Quartz MTB clipless pedals won races at the very top level –
including the World Championships – they never reached the same cult status as
the KEO.Never one to look back (excuse the
pun), Look recently released its new X-Track pedal range, which have been
designed to be the ultimate range of MTB pedals. From race-focused models to
super-tough clipless pedals for the increasingly popular Enduro scene, the
X-Track series has a model for most riders and budgets. But, while the X-Track
Race models are incredibly light despite their toughness, it’s the X-Track
En-Rage models -

If
you keep as close an eye on pro cycling as much as we do, you’ll have seen the
spy shots of SRAM’s latest wireless electronic road and mountain
bike groupsets.While
SRAM’s eTap road
bike groupsets have been out for a while, mountain bikers have been
waiting patiently for wireless to hit their world for years. The lure of
simpler set up, no gear cables and cleaner looking bikes sure is a strong one,
even if the cost can be pretty eye watering. -

It’s that time of year when lights become a requirement
for almost any kind of riding outside working hours. Thankfully these days
bicycle lights are great pieces of kit that are powerful, reliable and easy to
use; a far cry from the cumbersome, weak and complicated affairs from as little
as a few years ago.Modern bike lights
are so good they make riding at night a real pleasure. You can ride on the road
on an evening group thrash or battle through the traffic on your daily commute
safe in the knowledge you are visible to other road users and that any unlit,
leafy and mucky roads won’t be a terrifying brake lever-grabbing suicide
mission. For those who get their thrills off the beaten track,
riding at night transforms your familiar -

While mobile apps such as Strava, TrailForks and
MapMyRide are incredibly popular, if you want all the bells and whistles a
proper GPS cycle
computer is exactly what you need. Many have the ability to guide
you round a loop, analyse your performance and some even allow you to keep
track of other riders in your group in case they get lost or fall behind.Add in connectivity with your smartphone to allow you to view messages and phone calls while you ride, and also showing you live segments from Strava, so you can see if you’ve claimed that prized KOM on the move rather than having to wait with baited breath until you finish your ride and you’ve got yourself a pretty handy little gadget!
