While other tyres perform in relatively narrow range of conditions, the Assegai grips tenaciously just about anywhere. Dry or wet, soft or hard pack, the Assegai is a true grip monster yet still rolls well thanks to it's closely spaced and ramped tread. So I set mine as tubeless, and they have sat on the rim no issue what so ever. I'm not sure if its due to folding bead or the way tyre is made, or I'm getting better at it, but my previous Michelin DH22 and DH34 were more difficult to mount for sure.
