Campagnolo Shamal Ultra 2-Way Fit Wheelset

The new Shamal Ultra from Campagnolo embodies the incredible quality that has made the Shamal the go to aluminium race wheel for almost two decades. Offering further improvements in terms of versatility and performance, and meeting the C17 standard, the Shamal Ultra is perfect for use with 25/28mm tire sizes.

Thanks to the Dynamic Balance™ technology, every point of the rim is counter-balanced by an equal weight on the opposing side, providing maximum stability even at high speeds. The addition of MoMag™ technology creates a rim profile that is free of holes, making rim tape unnecessary, and the differentiated rim height keeps the spokes in the position of maximum aerodynamic penetration.

The toroidal milling reduces the peripheral weight of the rim, making the wheel extremely reactive, the 2-Way Fit™ profile enables the use of either classic clincher or tubeless tires whilst the Ultra-Fit™ design allows for easy tire mounting, maximum safety, minimum friction, less energy dispersion and improved performance.

The spokes have been designed with an aerodynamic profile to achieve maximum aerodynamic penetration, reducing sag and saving rider energy, whilst the self-locking system ensures that the spokes maintain the optimum aerodynamic position. The spokes are lightweight aluminium with an aero design, and use the exclusive MEGA G3™ spoke pattern which creates the perfect balance of spoke tensions on both sides of the wheel, reducing stress, increasing transversal rigidity and improving the transmission of power to the wheel.

The hub features a carbon fibre body for a high degree of lateral stiffness with minimum weight, an aluminium axel for low weight and high stiffness and Usb™ ceramic ball bearings which reduce friction, provide greater smoothness and maintains performance over time. The hubs have been designed with a differentiated hub diameter front and rear, optimised for structural integrity and aerodynamic efficiency.
