The RS300s feature a shallow 24mm aluminium that is lightweight and stiff, yet also provides a smooth, compliant ride. The wheels feature staggered spoke counts; the front has 16 spokes to keep weight low and compliance high, while the rear uses 20 spokes for improved power delivery while stiff offering a light, responsive feel and excellent compliance. These wheels are great for long distance winter rides. The wide 17mm internal width of the rim is also great for larger volume 25-28c tyres.

The hubs use Shimano's legendary angular contact bearings that are supremely reliable, easy to maintain and allow precision bearing adjustment to help ensure they run smoothly and drag-free. Labyrinth and contact sealing use low-friction seals to effectively shut out water, mud and dirt as well as helping to keep the wheels feeling lively, with a fast, free-rolling nature.

The freehub is compatible with 8, 9, 10 and 11-speed Shimano/Sram style cassettes, so you can be sure these will fit most road bikes.
