The new SRAM GX 1x11 rear derailleur features all of the same technology as the more expensive X1 models with the only difference being the aluminium construction which results in a slightly heavier weight and a more wallet friendly price tag!

This SRAM Rear Derailleur is crafted from lightweight, stiff and durable aluminium, resulting in a feather-light weight with bombproof durability. Kitted out with X-Horizon and Roller Bearing Clutch technology, this derailleur produces super-fast exact shifting at all times.

This derailleur excels in muddy conditions with mud-shedding capabilities provided by the 12-tooth X-Sync pulley wheels to keep you riding smooth even when the ground isn’t.

Standard part just what was ordered

Dropped down from XX1 to X1 and now to GX sram 11 speed. The carbon cage on the XX1 snapped at the first sign of a rock. The X1 did better but the carbon components became damaged with time causing its demise. Hoping this cheaper and stronger alloy version will be more robust and more economic. They all share the same technology and there are some parts of a bike that need to strong rather than a few grams lighter.
