The Scott Contrail 10 Hardtail Mountain Bike - 2026 is a versatile trail-ready mountain bike built for reliable control, efficient climbing, and confident handling across mixed terrain. Its lightweight Contrail Alloy frame, RockShox Judy Silver TK 100mm suspension fork, Shimano CUES 11-speed drivetrain, and Shimano hydraulic disc brakes give you a balanced setup for trail riding, weekend fitness rides, and everyday off-road use. Maxxis Rekon Race tyres add fast rolling speed with dependable grip, while the modern trail-inspired geometry helps improve stability and comfort on rough ground.
Key Features and Benefits:
- Contrail Alloy 6061 custom butted frame with internal cable routing: The alloy frame uses custom butted tubing to reduce excess weight while maintaining frame stiffness and durability. This helps improve climbing efficiency, steering response, and long-term reliability. Internal cable routing keeps cables protected from dirt, water, and trail debris, which lowers maintenance needs and keeps shifting performance more consistent over time.
- RockShox Judy Silver TK 100mm suspension fork with rebound adjustment and lockout: The 100mm suspension fork absorbs impacts from roots, rocks, and uneven surfaces to reduce arm fatigue and improve front wheel control. Rebound adjustment lets you fine tune how quickly the fork returns after compression, while the lockout function firms up the fork for smoother climbs and paved sections. This creates a more controlled ride across changing terrain.
- Shimano CUES 11-speed drivetrain with 11-50T cassette: Shimano’s CUES drivetrain gives you a wide gear range that supports steep climbing, fast flat sections, and controlled descending. The 11-50T cassette offers low gearing for technical climbs without losing higher gears for speed. Shimano Shadow rear derailleur technology also helps reduce chain movement on rough trails, improving drivetrain stability and reducing noise.
- Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm front rotor: Hydraulic disc brakes provide stronger and more consistent braking than mechanical systems, especially in wet or muddy conditions. The larger 180mm front rotor improves stopping power and heat control on longer descents, while the hydraulic design gives smoother brake modulation. This helps maintain better speed control with less hand fatigue.
- Maxxis Rekon Race 2.4" tyres: The Rekon Race tyres combine a fast rolling tread pattern with enough grip for loose dirt, hardpack trails, and mixed surfaces. The wider 2.4-inch profile increases contact with the ground, which improves traction and comfort without slowing the bike excessively. This helps maintain momentum while improving confidence in corners and rough sections.
- Modern trail-inspired geometry with 720mm handlebar and stable riding position: The geometry gives you a more stable riding posture for better handling on climbs, descents, and technical sections. The wider 720mm handlebar improves steering leverage and front-end control, while the balanced frame design keeps the bike responsive without feeling nervous at speed. This creates a more predictable ride across different trail conditions.
A hardtail mountain bike needs to balance climbing efficiency, handling control, and long-term reliability. The Scott Contrail 10 focuses on these areas with a lightweight alloy frame, dependable Shimano components, and suspension designed for varied trail use. The wide-range Shimano CUES drivetrain helps manage steep gradients with less strain, while the RockShox suspension fork improves front-end traction and comfort on rough terrain. Hydraulic disc brakes and Maxxis Rekon Race tyres work together to improve speed control and grip, helping maintain consistent performance across changing trail surfaces.
The Scott Contrail 10 Hardtail Mountain Bike - 2026 gives you a modern trail bike setup with practical components that support regular off-road riding, fitness rides, and weekend trail use. Its balanced geometry, reliable drivetrain, and controlled suspension make it a strong option for riders who want dependable performance with low-maintenance components.
