The FR-5.2GT has been specifically designed for removing and installing cassette lockrings from thru axle hubs. It uses a 12mm guide pin to help stabilise the tool while in use making it easier for you to use. This cassette lockring tool fits 12 spline cassette lockrings ranging from Shimano, SRAM (including 1x), SunRace, Sun Tour, Chris king and other (23.5mm diameter). It can also be used to fit and remove some Shimano and similar type disc brake rotor lockrings.
