Lezyne Tubeless Kit

I had this little kit in my saddle bag all year with my first set of tubeless road wheels on my road-bike. the first thing I'd say is that the tubeless tyres themselves are much more solid and protective against puncture than standard non tubeless tyres, so there's a less likelihood of puncture. I noticed two instances of sealant particles on my frame during the year so the set up does work - the tyres resealed themselves. Last week, I had the misfortune of a slice on the tyre, the glue was trying to seal it but i eventually stopped and assessed the damage and decided i needed to try to plug it. With the wheel still attached to the frame, I took the reamer, carefully pushing it through the tyre working it through the rubber from the outside. You need to be careful here - if you unwittingly manage to unseat the tyre from the rim, it will prove impossible to pump up with a mini pump. So work the reamer carefully into the tyre without overly squeezing the side walls. I then took the plug and pushed it half way into the hole. Once inserted, I re-inflated the tyre with the mini pump. Job done. The excess piece of sticking out rubber I left in place as I had no trimmer. might be worth think ing about a small mini tool with a pair of sharp scissors on it. I travelled an additional 15 miles to home without any issue. I did replace the tyre though at home - I felt it could now be compromised although its a subjective opinion. hope that helps

Really compact/lightweight so fits easily into hip pack or a pocket. Usual quality build from Lezyne. Not used it out on the trail yet but looks like it will do the job and should last for a few years.
