The Inner Tubes have Presta valves.
The kit provided is primarily design around Schrader valves with the design of tube etc.
All they provide to help with the thinner Presta stem is a sort of rubber ring to stop the dripping down the outside.
Why can't Muc-Off supply 2 different diameter tubes, one for Schrader and one for Presta and there wouldn't be a mess.
However, despite the above the Inner Tube Sealant works so the loss of one star is due to the delivery system provided.
