They measure up at 26.7mm so are nigh-on as advertised and my experience another winter favourite the continental 4 seasons in 28mm measure up at around 30mm which if you have an older bike may lead to clearance problem.
The herringbone tread patterns feels like it would give some purchase/grip when rubbed with the fingers and the sidewall feels thicker than the aforementioned rival tyre.
I've had one ride only so to early to test durability and handling characteristics but all seems promising
