I've always used KMC chains. However, this time I went for the EPT version as for £3 more than I used to pay, I get a chain that is treated for better rust prevention which is probably what I should have been buying, seeing as I live on the coast. The chains look better quality than the plain old Z8's and although it's not rained much since purchase, the days I've ridden in the wet, there is no signs of rust on my chain, where as the ordinary Z8s would soon start rusting on my old 7-speed cassette. As I've now upgraded my wheel to an 8-speed cassette, I hope my old rusty chain issues will be behind me.
