Fox Racing Shox were started in 1974 by Bob Fox who’s first dabble into the suspension market was for designing suspension shocks for Moto-X bikes and in 1975 the first Fox Airshox was completed.
Since then Fox Shox have appeared on Indy 500 race cars, Paris Dhaka rally cars and then in 1993 they first appeared on mountain bikes when Cannondale specced them on their full suspension bikes. Fox continued to build rear shocks andthen in 2001 they entered the front suspension market with Brain Lopes winning the Mountain Cross world championships on board a Fox Float 100 RLC fork.
