Named after a lethal, thermal sensing Japanese snake, the iJ.haBu5 is the first Campionissimo insulator jacket, replacing the Assos Series elementOne RX jacket.

Developed as a second layer garment, it is engineered to perfectly function within your ALS (Assos Layering System), complementing your next to skin Assos Interactive Insulators. By correctly choosing your first layer (Assos Interactive Insulator) you can extend the activity range of the iJ.haBu5, allowing you to tailor your winter outfit to perfectly match your physiology, intensity of ride and the specific weather conditions.

The Assos iJ.haBu5 features 18 patterns, using 6 different textiles. The front chest panel, upper arms and collar are made of Assos StratagonLight fabric (functioning as a wind block). Side, lower arms and back patterns feature Assos RXQ textile (active breathable heat retention) allowing effective body temperature control. The overall objective when designing the replacement for the elementOne jacket was to lower the volume and weight of the garment, while increasing protection and comfort range. The iJ.haBu5 weighs 40 grams less than the elementOne and features a new airblock protection and additional performance enhancing details. The iJhaBu5 closes the gap and fits right in between the Assos intermediateEvo and aiJack.

The iJ.haBu5 incorporates an iPhone specific pocket on the upper arm allowing loudspeaker, hands-free communication. The rear features two zipped pockets for security and a central open pocket for fast access storage of a shell jacket. The back design features Assos Stabiliser Technology, preventing vertical stretch when loading the pockets and stabilises the fit of the jacket once you are in the riding position.
