The Sidi Five shoe features a lightweight and breathable Lorica and Nylon mesh upper. Sidi's micro adjust Caliper Buckle closure is combined with the Soft Instep Closure System which distributes pressure evenly over the arch area and is adjustable from both sides for perfect centering. This is backed up by High Security Velcro closures which integrate locking polymer teeth which engage into each other when the strap is closed. This makes the Velcro closure more secure and eliminates movement in the strap. The reinforced Sidi Heel keeps the foot in position and avoids the shoe being deformed by extreme performance or prolonged pressure. Sidi's Eleven Carbon Composite Sole is a new sole constructed from two different materials blended together - nylon and carbon fibre. The Carbon Composite Sole is made out of injected carbon fibre in a matrix of nylon. The nylon used doesn't absorb water and doesn't lose rigidity in hot or humid weather as it ages. The result is a significantly lighter and stiffer sole.
