Intense M9 FRO (For Race Only)
The Intense M9 has a legacy unrivalled by any other DH bike, Jeff Steber began a revolution with the original M1 in 1994 and what you see here is it's direct descendent, significantly changed and improved over the years to remain competitive at top flight competition level, yet visually reminiscent of the original as a result of the iconic monocoque construction technique and use of a custom Easton tubing set which is hand welded by a select few master builders at Intense's production facility in Temecula, Southern California.
Think of a checklist of what you want from DH frame and you are pretty much guaranteed to find it here on the M9, due in no small part to the bikes extended gestation period which began with an evolution of the M6 but evolved into something totally different as new industry standards arose and ideas were introduced, in particular the concept of full geometry and travel adjustment to allow each individual rider to tailor the bike to their preferences or the demands of any given course.
The M9 is the first bike in the Intense line to feature a pinch bolt 1.5" headtube designed to accept the Cane Creek angleset (itself prototyped by Intense) for +/- 1° head angle adjustment; whilst it also includes the G3 dropout system to run any rear axle/hub combination available on the market now or in the future, adjustable shock progression and adjustable travel between 8.5"-9.5".

Pinkbike Review
"The M9 is an incredible ride for the privateer racer or a pro team unburdened by a bicycle sponsor. While it isn't cheap, it can be set up for just about any rider and track, and it comes with a heritage that makes it more than a DH bike. Intense cuts the metal, machines the parts, welds, heat treats, and assembles every M9 in its Temecula factory. That and a history as long as the World Cup Downhill circuit makes the M9 it an easy choice if you are looking for a bike to take to the races."
