It's quite amazing how Scott have produced the Sportster 60 for this price. A complete steal for a road bike with a quality frame and brand-name components that will last and give you the ride of a bike that give much more of a hit on the wallet.
A full Shimano drivetrain will offer reliable shifting all year round, and deep rimmed wheels help you cut through the air. Syncros finishing kit is well proven and excellent value.
All in, the Speedster 60 would make an ideal introduction to road biking and will easily warrant upgrades when the time comes.
Bringing technology over from Scott's top of the range Foils, the Speedster range is fantastic value for money; it's aluminium frames with aero tubing offering the similar aerodynamic advantage to the range-toppers. Offering up to 20% increase in performance in this respect, that can equate to 5% descrease in power output required over a flat stage. Internal cable routing and aero fork also help reduce drag.
All this means a lightweight, comfortable bike that is a great introduction to serious road riding or equally for long training rides or events.
