CR1 is Scott's range of carbon bikes with all day comfort built in and combined with lateral stiffness for fast acceleration. By laying up the carbon fibres in specific directions at each point in each tube, Scott allow the tubes to flex in the direction that absorbs the road vibrations and small bumps but stay stiff and rigid when the power is put down. This SDS (Shock Damping System) is on the rear end and forks of the CR1 range and will keep you fresher for when your energy is required at the final sprint or climbs. This is so effective that it has even helped Pro racers in the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix.
