Scott's CR1 Comp is a superb entry into the world of serious racing bikes.  All the frame features of the entire CR1 range, with a specification perfectly suited to get you off the metaphorical start line.  Fast.

Syncros Race 28 Aero wheels help you punch through the air with the minimum amount of effort, while the Syncros seatpost, saddle, stem and bars keep things light and functional.  Shimano 105 and Tiagra groupset are Shimano's lightweight introduction to their racing groups, with much the same functionality as their higher end groups.   The compact chainset is the perfect gearing to get you up and over anything that stands in your way.

CR1 is Scott's range of carbon bikes with all day comfort built in and combined with lateral stiffness for fast acceleration.  By laying up the carbon fibres in specific directions at each point in each tube, Scott allow the tubes to flex in the direction that absorbs the road vibrations and small bumps but stay stiff and rigid when the power is put down.  This SDS (Shock Damping System) is on the rear end and forks of the CR1 range and will keep you fresher for when your energy is required at the final sprint or climbs.  This is so effective that it has even helped Pro racers in the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix.

The CR1 range is ideal for anyone wanting a bike for long rides out at the weekend and a fast race-day machine too, both of which you'll appreciate it's shock absorption towards the end when you'll have the edge over the tiring competition.

Founded in 1958 by Ed Scott, a talented engineer and competitive skier, the company launched the worlds first tapered aluminium ski pole to universal acclaim, setting a precedent of technical innovation that continues to this day. After moving through motocross the first mountain bike model was launched in 1986, whilst the 1989 Tour De France saw the debut of the aerodynamic handlebar that famously helped Greg Lemond to claim the yellow jersey from the late Laurent Fignon in the legendary final time trial on the cobbles of the Champs-Élysées.
The 1990’s saw Scott establish themselves firmly within the MTB market, with world cup winning forks, the worlds first carbon fibre mountain bike the Endorphin, and the worlds lightest full suspension MTB’s the G-Zero in 98 and Strike in 2000.

Today Scott offers a comprehensive and progressive range of bikes, with all models, from the entry level Aspect or Sportster to the high end Genius LT, Addict and women specific Contessa ranges featuring the most advanced construction techniques, components and materials available. Pioneers of Carbon Fibre in both road and mountain applications; the CR1 and IMP production techniques coupled with exclusive HMF and HMX carbon fibre grades allow for some of the lightest and strongest bikes on the market today, whilst innovative frame design and close links with leading component manufacturers such as DT Swiss ensure that all Scott bikes perform flawlessly at all levels.
