The Volant 10 from Genesis is a step up from entry level performance, at a sensible price point. The main focus on the Volant, as with all Genesis bikes, is the frame quality, geometry and subsequently, the ride feel. Designed to be comfortable for any ride, the geometry is a little more race orientated, so it makes a great entry level race bike, or use it for Sportives or long training rides. There's no hiding the Italian design influence on the Volant 10, and although the finish of the bike doesn't directly affect the performance, you're certain to feel smug with a bike looking this great, and that's worth an extra 5% power increase. Maybe. Just wear the right classic kit and pretend you're in the 1970's European racing scene. On the technical side, the frame is upgraded to 6069 ALX-9 double butted alloy over the Volant 00, saving some weight and increasing stiffness, and you get a full Shimano Sora 18 Speed groupset to shed a little more weight. It runs just that little bit smoother too, and the Shimano hubs offer great longevity. We also insist that you buy the Retro cap in the recommended items to the right too. We know you won't need much convincing.
