Q & A

Great spec, great looks and a great price make the Dune R one of the most appealing Enduro specific bikes on the market for 2015, don't be left in its dusty wake, make sure you are leaving the competition in yours,

Dune R

The R is equipped with the now legendary RockShox Pike RC fork which provides the bike with 160mm of boulder bashing travel and at the rear the Fox Float X CTD shock wipes up what the fork misses. Drive comes in the form of a 2x10 setup which is provided by Sram, this bike is built for going up and down! To finish things off you will be rolling along on a set of DT Swiss E1900 wheels and the custom bar and FG stem, this bike means business every time you unlock it from its perch.

Dune Range

Mondraker's Dune range of bikes are designed specifically for the Enduro rider, a slack head angle, long wheel base and 160mm of travel makes all of the Dune family the perfect bike for total domination on the Gravity Enduro race scene. The Dune features Mondraker's patented Stealth Alloy construction frame which is lightweight and extremely strong as well as this the Dune also has their Zero Suspension System and Forward Geometry design for total trail dominance. As the Dune bikes have such a long wheel-base they climb superbly and the Forward Geometry system paired with the slack head angle means when you reach your timed downhill stage they will inspire fast times with their stable and composed handling, even on the most demanding sections.

Zero Suspension Platform Explained

  • The Zero suspension system is what actuates the shock and is used across the entire Mondraker range.
  • The Zero suspension system means there is no power loss. It works to stop unwanted movements within the frame which are detrimental to the pedaling efficiency of the bike.
  • Zero prevents any pedal kickback and stops the chain growing when the frame moves through its travel, this stops the crank from moving backwards and makes the bike more efficient.
  • Zero prevents any brake jack which means the suspension is not affected by braking which also makes the bike more efficient.
  • Zero bumps. The main characteristic of the system is its excellent absorption capacity at the same time as it provides high pedalling efficiency. The optimized trajectory of the rear axle and the linear nature of the rear shock assure very effective impact absorption.
  • Bump, what bump? The Zero platform works to absorb uneven surfaces so no traction is lost while pedaling, which means you're free to choose any line and the bike will work for you.

Forward Geometry advantages:

  • Security in steep areas
  • Confidence at high speed
  • Direct steering
  • Uphill precision
  • Stability on rough sections
