Description

The Scott Scale RC 900 Pro Hardtail Mountain Bike is constructed from a unique blend of carbon fibres which makes it incredibly lightweight and strong. This stiff ride paired with an extremely dialled frame geometry produces an exceptionally fast and agile ride experience. The Pro comes equipped with a FOX 32 fork which features 100mm of premium suspension travel and a 3-mode Scott Rideloc that allows you to optimize your ride control. Drive comes in the form of a Shimano XT 1x11 drivetrain which provides exceptional shift quality and further enhances the bikes low weight characteristics. Scott have selected the Shimano XT M8000 disc brakes for the Pro model to offer powerful and progressive braking in all weather conditions. The Scale RC 900 Pro is designed around a wheel size of 29 inches, on this model they come in the form of Syncros tubeless ready rims complemented with a pair of Schwalbe Rocket Ron tires. The bike is stunningly finished with a host of premium Syncros components that will make any rider feel like they can go toe to toe with the world’s finest.

RC

The Racing Concept has stood for excellence and success in endurance sports at the highest level of racing for 20 years, equipping the winners of World Cup overalls, World Championships and Olympic medals. The 2017 RC collection of dedicated race bikes comprises the lightest Scott mountain bikes ever built. These products have been developed to give you that extra advantage when you need it.

Scale 900 Series

The new Scale range has been completely redesigned for 2017 and the result is a new benchmark for race hardtail frames. The Scale 900 Series uses the 29 inch wheel standard and is designed for maximum efficiency and minimal weight, and now this series is faster and fitter than ever. A mix of high-end carbon fibres has been used to achieve incredibly strong and light frames on all Scale Carbon bikes and the non-carbon ranges are constructed from an ultralight alloy. The new scale frame has been developed around the Boost standard in order to maximise the advantages of the new norm. The two dedicated frame platforms for 1X and 2X drivetrains lift the standard of hardtail mountain bikes to a new level. In order to increase comfort a specific brake mount adapter has been introduced which is linked only to the chainstay and thru-axle. Thanks to a hollow tube construction, the new Scale dropouts are designed to be integrated on the thru-axle system allowing for a simple and lightweight design.

About Scott

Founded in 1958 by Ed Scott, a talented engineer and competitive skier, the company launched the world’s first tapered aluminium ski pole to universal acclaim, setting a precedent of technical innovation that continues to this day. After moving through motocross the first mountain bike model was launched in 1986, whilst the 1989 Tour De France saw the debut of the aerodynamic handlebar that famously helped Greg Lemond to claim the yellow jersey from the late Laurent Fignon in the legendary final time trial on the cobbles of the Champs-Élysées.
The 1990’s saw Scott establish themselves firmly within the MTB market, with world cup winning forks, the world’s first carbon fibre mountain bike the Endorphin, and the worlds lightest full suspension MTB’s the G-Zero in 98 and Strike in 2000.
Today Scott offers a comprehensive and progressive range of bikes, with all models, from the entry level Aspect or Sportster to the high end Genius LT, Addict and women specific Contessa ranges featuring the most advanced construction techniques, components and materials available. Pioneers of Carbon Fibre in both road and mountain applications; the CR1 and IMP production techniques coupled with exclusive HMF and HMX carbon fibre grades allow for some of the lightest and strongest bikes on the market today, whilst innovative frame design and close links with leading component manufacturers such as DT Swiss ensure that all Scott bikes perform flawlessly at all levels.
