Description

The Scott Voltage FR 730 might be the entry level model in the Voltage FR range but when you see the specification you will see that it's far from entry level. Whether you are riding at bike parks, trails or downhill tracks then the Scott Voltage FR 730 will have you covered as it has been designed around a 27.5 inch wheel standard but can be converted to run 26 inch wheels so you can match the bike to your riding needs. The Voltage also has heaps more adjustability options, for more details please see the range description below. Built around an Alloy 6061 frame the Voltage FR comes with an X-Fusion Metric R, 180mm fork and Marzocchi Roco R rear shock to easily absorb any big impacts on the course. Drive comes in the form of a SRAM 8 speed drivetrain with Truvativ Ruktion1.0 crankset which gives you plenty of gears to get up to the top of the trails so you can thrash your way back down again. If the speed does get too much, then you can simply rely on the Shimano Deore BR-M615 disc brakes to give you plenty of stopping power. The bike is fitted with Syncros MD27 rims and Schwalbe Magic Mary tyres which will keep you gripped to almost anything. Additionally, the bike is stunningly finished with a host of premium Syncros components.

Voltage FR Series

The Voltage Freeride is able to adapt to any rider on any track thanks to its adjustable travel (170mm or 190mm), head angle (62 to 66 degrees), chainstay length (410mm or 425mm) and the dialled geometry allowing the option to run 26 inch or 27.5 inch wheels. This versatility means it is equally at home at bike parks, downhill tracks or any trail. Thanks to a low BB, a slack head angle, short chain stays and a low leverage ratio, this bike will surely put a grin on your face. This cult favourite is back, and although it’s been completely redesigned it’s as capable as ever and it’s ready to get down.

About Scott

Founded in 1958 by Ed Scott, a talented engineer and competitive skier, the company launched the world’s first tapered aluminium ski pole to universal acclaim, setting a precedent of technical innovation that continues to this day. After moving through motocross the first mountain bike model was launched in 1986, whilst the 1989 Tour De France saw the debut of the aerodynamic handlebar that famously helped Greg Lemond to claim the yellow jersey from the late Laurent Fignon in the legendary final time trial on the cobbles of the Champs-Élysées.
The 1990’s saw Scott establish themselves firmly within the MTB market, with world cup winning forks, the world’s first carbon fibre mountain bike the Endorphin, and the worlds lightest full suspension MTB’s the G-Zero in 98 and Strike in 2000.
Today Scott offers a comprehensive and progressive range of bikes, with all models, from the entry level Aspect or Sportster to the high end Genius LT, Addict and women specific Contessa ranges featuring the most advanced construction techniques, components and materials available. Pioneers of Carbon Fibre in both road and mountain applications; the CR1 and IMP production techniques coupled with exclusive HMF and HMX carbon fibre grades allow for some of the lightest and strongest bikes on the market today, whilst innovative frame design and close links with leading component manufacturers such as DT Swiss ensure that all Scott bikes perform flawlessly at all levels.
