The Carbon Experts have done it again, the new Plasma2 takes inspiration from Scott 'Aerodynamic Science'; the collaborative effort of Scott Engineering and Normann Stadler, to transform the time trial bike of Team HTC-Columbia into a no compromise triathlon machine (the Plasma3). They invented aero with the creation of the aero bar, and now they are raising the bar on how clean and fast a triathlon bike can be. This is the future of aerodynamic design, and it‘s much faster.

IMP5 Technology
The Plasma2 features Scott's most sophisticated carbon structure ever, the top tube, head tube, down tube, seat tube and chain stays are all produced in a single step using IMP monocoque forming. With each layer still carefully managed to rid the structure of any voids or folds in the material for unparalelled strength and lightness.

Shelter127
Shelter127 is a measurement of the wheel coverage of both front and rear wheels on the Contessa Plasma. The rear has 80 degrees of coverage and the front has 47 degrees, the total coverage is 127 degrees of wind-cheating aerodynamics.

Integrated Carbon Fork
The drag-reducing integrated fork/frame design is ultra clean and matches the frame profile precisely.

TwinTurbo Chainstays
The Twin Turbo chain stays are only as wide as the bottom bracket until they flare out to meet the rear dropout and are ultra narrow to reduce wind drag on the frame. They also feature an alloy replaceable derailleur hanger and a wheel position adjustment screw to minimize frame to rear wheel separation.

Integrated Cable Routing
The front and rear derailleur as well as the brake cable are all internally routed to improve aerodynamics. There is cable access from inside the bottom bracket shell as well as the chain stay for convenience.

Adjustable Seat Tube Angle
The new Ritchey adjustable seat post clamp allows for adjustment between 73-80 degrees of seat tube angle. Good for TT, and Triathlon.

Founded in 1958 by Ed Scott, a talented engineer and competitive skier, the company launched the worlds first tapered aluminium ski pole to universal acclaim, setting a precedent of technical innovation that continues to this day. The 1990’s saw Scott establish themselves firmly within the MTB market, with world cup winning forks, the worlds first carbon fibre mountain bike the Endorphin, and the worlds lightest full suspension MTB’s the G-Zero in 98 and Strike in 2000.

Today Scott offers a comprehensive and progressive range of bikes, with all models, from the entry level Aspect or Sportster to the high end Genius LT, Addict and women specific Contessa ranges featuring the most advanced construction techniques, components and materials available.
