Mondraker Prayer

A common site on alpine bike rental fleets, the Mondraker Prayer has earnt a reputation for being unburstable and ready to tackle thousands of feet of vertical descending day after day, whilst also representing great value for money. The 2011 version receives an increase in rear wheel travel by 20mm taking it to 180mm and it's been fitted with a matching Marzocchi 66 coil fork to make it even more capable regardless of whether you're heading down a mountain or just messing about in the woods.

FR 2.5:1 Four Bar System
Consisting of a classic deformed parallelogram with 4 pivot points, the FR 2.5:1 platform features a patented Horst link placed in the chainstays which allows the rear wheel axle path to track vertically and perpendicular to the floor to minimise pedal interaction and brake jack.
The system uses a compression ratio of 2.5:1, meaning that each cm of shock travel is equivalent to 2.5cm travel in of the rear wheel, such a low ratio gives the rear shock a more supple feel and speed up the transition from compression to extension due to reduced stiction. The ratio also increases the range of shock adjustment available, giving a more pronounced difference between each setting.

Founded in Alicante, Spain in 2001. Mondraker’s started producing bikes to support the increasing number of riders who were starting to push the limits of themselves and their equipment on rough local trails. Back then a range consisted of just 7 bikes, mostly designed to cater for the emerging Spanish freeride scene, but over the past decade Mondraker have built upon this humble beginning, expanding the range to cover all MTB disciplines and establishing themselves as one of the major European manufacturers.

Their goal has always been to provide the best technology and the highest quality at reasonable prices, to achieve this they blend innovative design and high quality components within the budget of all serious mountain bikers.
There are 2 USP's which permiate the entire Mondraker range, the first is their Stealth (side alloy structure) tubing which not only offers a high strength to weight ratio but along with their own Zero Suspension System delivers a distinctive look that's easily recognisable regardless of whether the bike is a world cup winning DH rig with 200mm of travel or a cross country flyer with a little over half that.

Developed for and tested within the World Cup DH scene with the input of professional riders; Cesar Rojo and Fabian Barel, both of these technologies hold testament to Mondraker’s commitment to technical performance, with the developments made here clearly influencing the production range.
