It provides advanced training and navigation functionality, meaning the very best is no longer reserved only for the professionals. City Navigator Version: About The Garmin Edge 705: The GPS based real time data displays are highly accurate and fully customisable, allowing the unit to display only what you want. This also means there is no need for an ugly fork mounted speed sensor. The system does not require initial setup or calibration for different bikes, just fix the unit onto the handlebar or stem (2x mounting brackets included) and ride. ANT+ 2.4GHz wireless data transmission, used for both the HRM and Cadence functions ensures there is no signal interference from other rider's equipment, whilst ultra low power consumption increases the battery life of the sensor units. The system is also compatible with 3rd party power meters to provide you with all the information you need. The Edge 705 offers a number of advanced training functions; combining auto-lap, interval training, pace warnings and a virtual partner to keep you motivated in the saddle. Garmin Training Centre software (included) enables post ride evaluation and a calender function to keep you organised and on schedule, whilst the Garmin Connect online community allows you to trade information, build and download courses and post your results online.
